For the first time in the United States, an extraordinary historical panorama is underway that will take twenty years to complete. A team of architectural experts and dedicated builders are raising a genuine fortified castle in the heart of America between Springfield, Missouri and Little Rock, Arkansas.

When you visit the castle, you will see - right in front of your eyes - stonecutters, carpenters, ropemakers, potters and carters all dressed as if they had traveled directly from the 13th century into the 21st century. Using only materials and methods available to medieval castle-builders, they are constructing a real fortress with 24-foot high towers, a drawbridge and 6 foot thick stone walls surrounding an expansive inner courtyard.

There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges.

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

The Ozark Medieval Fortress is located across the Arkansas-Missouri state line, approximately 25 miles south of Branson. Transportation from Branson is not provided.

A forest trail leads you first to the year 1000 and its wooden castle reproduction, next to the quarry - and then to the spectacular stone fortress rising from the hillside.

You will visit huts where skilled artisans demonstrate their many crafts using only authentic techniques of medieval times. They will explain their roles in the 13th-century community life.
